ECS (Electro-Cleen^TM System), ballast water management system developed by TECHCROSS, was granted as a Korean World Class Product Award. MOTIE (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy) awarded this certification to excellent companies who achieve more than 5% of global market share with exports of minimum USD 5 million annually, ranked within the top 5 manufacturers in the international market size worth over USD 50 million. TECHCROSS’ ECS was selected in recognition of outstanding technology and expertise, also their commitment to Korea’s exports and national competitiveness. Ceremony was held on December 16^th at COEX with over 300 participants including governmental agencies and the delegates of selected companies. ECS, the ballast water management system using electrolysis technology, takes no. 1 position in the ballast water management system industry after achieving of Korean Administration type approval in 2008. On November 24^th, 2015, Indonesia ratified IMO BWM Convention and as entering into force is imminent, shipowners look for more reliable BWMS and ECS will be highly appreciated as a valuable product.
