TECHCROSS Applied Basic Approval for 3 New Systems

TECHCROSS submitted IMO Basic Approval application dossiers for 3 new types of ballast water management systems. These 3 systems are under development carrying out for USD 12 million of Korea government project initiated in April, 2013 for the next generation BWMS which can comply much stricter requirements of USCG Phase II standards which is not finalized yet.

 

 The first system out of the 3 systems which applied for IMO Basic Approval is “ECS-HybridTM System” which combined multiple disinfection technology. The second system is “ECS-HychlorTM System” which applied electrolysis side-stream technology. The last one is “ECS-HychemTM System” which applied chemical injection technology. Once Basic Approval granted at MEPC 68 meeting, these systems will go through tests with full-scale and apply for IMO Final Approval and Type Approval based on IMO G9 and G8.
