Techcross held the ‘reliability laboratory & training center opening ceremony’ on November 21 at its Busan Plant in Gangseo-gu, Busan. More than 70 representatives from major Korean customers and testing agencies visited Techcross to see and celebrate the production plant which completed the expansion in August and newly established spaces. The customers toured the site after a presentation about the new facilities, and showed keen interest in the well-organized training site and quality control room.
Techcross sets its sights not only on selling BWMS but also producing defect-free products and thoroughly satisfying customers. Thus, Techcross is putting a lot of efforts into providing better service, and the newly established spaces are part of this effort.
The reliability laboratory is equipped with seven large-scale equipment for durability test, a thermo-hygrostat and various measurement and analysis devices for reliable performance test. The lab is expected to help prevent problems and produce high quality products by evaluating new products or existing devices that has previously had issues. Techcross is the only company in the industry to have this level of testing available for in-house performance test.
The training center serves as an open educational space not only for the employees and customers, but also for anyone who has questions or needs training on ballast water or the treatment equipment. At the beginning of each month, applications are received from people who want training, and a variety of curriculums tailored to the learner’s level will be offered. In particular, the pleasant educational environment that boosts motivation for learning as well as practical training with actual equipment and real seawater are some of the biggest strengths of the training center. Since Techcross manufactures products using electrolysis technology, the training center will help crew members improve the familiarity with equipment by allowing them experience both direct and indirect-type products. Trouble-shooting training is also included to increase the ability to solve problems that happen on a ship.
The new reliability laboratory and training center, expected to help ensure to provide better products and improved customer service, began its operation on October 1.
